Since Bologna the European borders have become still more open. The ideal of a united Europe has now more and more come true also in the "instruction country"

For the medical professions Bologna means a long way to the European Community which has been marked by great differences up to now. When comparing the neighbour country Germany with the Netherlands it can be noticed that the vocational training in Germany is governed on a three years vocational college level by a state-run vocational training law.

In the Netherlands the professional aim speech and language therapist, physiotherapist or occupational therapist is studied on the level of the University of Applied Sciences as a 4 years Bachelor programme.
